Siquijor is a small Philippine island known nationwide for its traditional healers and witchcraft folklore, a reputation that still earns it the nickname of the mystic island. Larena, on its east coast, is one of the island's ferry ports and one of the few points where the sea horizon stays clear of any other land. This image was taken on 23 December 2025 at sunset, with a standard 17mm lens rather than a drone: the low, near-water framing captures the orange-violet gradient of the sky reflected on a calm sea, with the silhouette of distant mountains on the horizon.
